Adriano Nazareth

Filmmaker, Producer

Born in Porto, he has worked at Rádio Televisão de Portugal since 1990. He studied Fine Arts - Painting at FBAUP and holds a PhD in Digital Media from the University of Porto in partnership with the University of Texas at Austin. As a director, he has produced over 4,000 hours of live entertainment programmes, many of which have been national television ratings leaders, as well as several television dramas and music programmes. Adriano also stands out as a director, producer, screenwriter and author in the production of TV documentaries. Both academically and professionally, he remains focused on the creativity of the audiovisual phenomenon.

Anabela Santos

Journalist

Cultural Communications Advisor at the University of Porto. With a degree in Journalism, a master's degree in Cultural Sciences and a postgraduate degree in Marketing Management, she has extensive experience in communication and press relations. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Accessible Communication. Santos produces content for different platforms, provides press relations services and collaborates in the multimedia production of cultural projects. As a journalist, she has worked in radio, television and print media. She has lived in London, Oxford and Dublin.

Born in Porto in 1997. She’s a transdisciplinary artist and co-founder of Asterisco. Her work has been presented at Teatro Municipal do Porto, Galerias Municipais, Maia Contemporary Art Biennial, The Place, Nottingham Contemporary, Centre for Live Art Yorkshire, Stockholm Fringe Festival, schuur, Derida Dance Center, One Dance, among others. Holds an MA in Performance Making by Goldsmiths, a PG in Cultural Management and Sustainability by FLUC and a BA in Fine and Intermedia by ESAP and the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk.

Catarina de Sousa

Filmmaker, journalist, and film and visual arts producer, born in 1985. She holds a master's degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Minho, with training at Ateliers Varan (France) and an artistic residency at UnionDocs – Centre for Documentary Art, New York. Co-directed Tracing Utopia (2021) with Nick Tyson and wrote Truth and Consequence (2017). Founded the Porto-based production company Foi Bonita a Festa with Isadora Neves Marques and is the founder of Casa do Xisto, an analogue and ecological film residency. Between Portugal, Brazil and the United States, she produces and represents films by Isadora Neves Marques, Alice dos Reis, Janaina Wagner, Mariana Bártolo, Bárbara Anastácio, Francisca Manuel, Salomé Lamas, Petra Costa, Grace Passô and Zahy Tentehar.

Jorge Peixoto Freitas

Psychologist

Certified clinical psychologist and psychotherapist, with a focus on Systemic Intervention and Couple Therapy. He holds a master's degree in psychology and is a student in the Doctoral Programme in Human Sexuality. He currently works at U.Porto as the IQUAL CAMPUS project manager and as a psychologist in the Sexual Health clinic. His research and clinical practice focus on couple therapy, consensual non-monogamies, and sexual diversity. He has professional experience in diverse areas and contexts and in multiple research and intervention projects.

Telmo Fernandes

Activist, Researcher

Born in Porto, where he became involved in the late 1990s in the creation of the first local LGBTQ+ collectives, namely Nós (Us) – University Movement for Sexual Freedom, and GRIP - ILGA Portugal's Reflection and Intervention Group in Porto. With the latter, he collaborated as project manager in areas such as education, community building and prevention of intimate partner violence, as well as being responsible for the annual report of an observatory on discrimination. After an academic break to study Film History in Turin, he graduated in Sociology and holds a PhD in Psychology, with research on mental health in LGBTQ+ youth.
