Day #4: Silverlake Life, by Peter Friedman, highlighted at Teatro Rivoli

The “This is Me” program, dedicated to autobiographical representation in queer cinema, will pay a special homage to the work of filmmaker Peter Friedman, screening today the documentary Silverlake Life: The View From Here, one of the utmost and unfairly unrecognized films on HIV/ AIDS.

Co-directed alongside Tom Joslin in 1993, the documentary is a diary of the life of couple Joslin and Mark Massi and how both of them dealt with AIDS.

Also as part of this program, the festival will screen tomorrow, in premiere, Blackstar: Autobiography of a Close Friend, a documentary directed by Tom Joslin.

Peter Friedman will attend these screenings.
