This year's edition of fiveFilms4freedom, the initiative by the British Council in collaboration with BFI Flare: London LGBT Film Festival, will run from 16-26 March 2017. The world's first global, digital LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) film festival is brought to you for a third year by the British Council and the British Film Institute (BFI).
During the festival's dates, audiences in London will be enjoying BFI Flare, the LGBT film festival. At the same time you, and people all over the world, can watch five films from the festival for free online.
In 2016, people in 179 countries worldwide watched the films, with 1.57 million views on websites and social media. Recently, the 2016 edition was nominated for the Lovie Awards, in the "Best Use of Video" category.
