Selection of 8 feature length fictions produced in the same or previous year of the Festival.

COMPETITION FOR BEST DOCUMENTARY
Selection of 8 feature length documentaries produced in the same or previous year of the Festival.
Prize Best Documentary: 3.000 € (sponsored by RTP2, for the audiovisual rights acquisition)

COMPETITION FOR BEST SHORT FILM
Selection of up to 22 shorts produced in the same or previous year of the Festival.

COMPETITION "IN MY SHORTS" FOR BEST EUROPEAN SCHOOL SHORT FILM
Selection of a maximum of 15 short films directed in the curricular context of an European Film School and produced in the same or previous year of the Festival. The competition includes workshops created specifically for the students in competition as well as networking activities.

COMPETITION QUEER ART
A section where film meets the visual arts, according to two perspectives: on the one hand, a showcase of recent films which explore the limits of cinematic languages, genres, and narratives; and, on the other hand, a showcase of documentaries and fictions which portray renowned personalities of the queer art scene. This section also pays special attention to films portraying groundbreaking tendencies of queer theory.

Queer Porto Competition

OFFICIAL COMPETITION
Selection of up to 10 feature length fictions and documentaries produced in the same or previous year of the Festival.
Prize Best Film: 3.000 € (sponsored by RTP2, for the audiovisual rights acquisition)

COMPETITION "IN MY SHORTS" FOR BEST PORTUGUESE SCHOOL SHORT FILM
Selection of a minimum of 5 short films directed in the curricular context of a Portuguese Film or Audiovisual School, and produced in the same or previous year of the Festival. The competition includes a masterclass created specifically for the students in competition as well as networking activities.

"CASA COMUM" AWARD
Selection of a minimum of 6 Portuguese short films, produced in the previous year or in year the Festival is celebrated. The competition is evaluated by a jury formed by three elements and designated by the Rectory of the University of Porto.
Prize Best Film: 500 € (sponsored by Reitoria da Universidade do Porto)

Out of Competition

CENTREFOLD SCREENINGS
Individual screenings of features and / or documentaries, presented in a specific context, such as national premieres, as part of an ephemerid, as part of Queer Lisboa or Queer Porto parallel activities, or in collaboration with another institution.

PANORAMA 
A program consisting of fiction out of competition long-feature films, that, because of its aesthetic, thematic and narrative propiety, Queer Lisboa programmers understand as relevant to be shown. Mainly constituted of bigger budget productions, Panorama could also include national pre-releases. The section includes 6 titles.

QUEER FOCUS
Feature and short fiction and documentary films, recently produced or presented in retrospective programs in honor of a directo, actor, distributor/producer, on a specific theme, or dedicated to a country.

QUEER POP
A programme of music documentaries, and Portuguese and foreign music videos.

HARD NIGHTS
A selection of both recent and vintage films, which explore the boundaries of sexuality in an explicit way.
