Alisa Lebow* (EUA, 1964) is a documentary filmmaker, scholar, and writer. She holds a doctorate in Cinema Studies from New York University. She currently teaches Film at the University of Sussex, UK, and conducts research that explores the intersection of the aesthetic and the political in documentary film and related media.
Cynthia Madansky** (EUA, 1961) is a visual artist, graphic designer and independent filmmaker. Her movies engage with cultural and political themes, such as identity, nationalism or the transgression of borders, foregrounding the human experience and personal testimony.
