Bouchra, a 35-year-old Moroccan filmmaker living in New York, is paralyzed with fear as she stares at the blank page. A phone call with her mother, who is in Casablanca, brings back memories. The affectionate, though complex, exchange between the two sparks her creativity, giving way to a journey through family ties, parenthood, and the turmoil of love.
