Everything at Once: Paco & Manolo’s Gaze
Alberto Fuguet
Documentary : 102' / Gay, Art & Artists, Explicit Content

Paco and Manolo, two Catalan photographers from the outskirts of Barcelona, have been together for thirty years. Both have managed to work as a single photographer and have captured their imagery in Kink magazine, a very personal photography fanzine with an essentially Mediterranean homoerotic aesthetic. Using self-publishing as a means for their artwork, magazines such as Kink remind us of the capital importance that zines had for many decades in queer culture, not only to get to know these more of less underground artworks – being the zine many times an artform in itself – but also as a means of political action, medical information, or as an expression of engaged satire.
