Tom de Pékin
France
Tom de Pékin lives and works in Paris. He founded and directed, alongside artist Guillaume Dégé, the Éditions des 4 Mers, from 1994 to 2002. Since 2000 he has worked in drawing, video, performance, and engraving, under the name Tom de Pékin. As an activist, artist, illustrator, and filmmaker he is interested in the rapport between text and image and in graphic subversiveness. In March 2009 Septembre Éditions releases a monograph of his work from 2000 to 2009, alongside a presentation of his procedures towards a queer counterpropaganda. He drew the poster for Alain Guiraudie’s feature L’inconnu du Lac.
