At a fancy flower spa, Sam prepares for their blooming and bodily transformation. Their mother, however, isn’t quite ready to let go. On their final day together, between petal pampering, quiet conversations, and echoes of childhood, tension and fear rise, but something tender begins to take root.

Ariel Victor Arthanto (he/him) is an Indonesian-born filmmaker, animator, and illustrator based in Berlin. He holds a BA in Animation from RMIT University, Melbourne, and an MFA in Animation Directing from the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf, Germany. Specializing in 2D animation, Ariel creates imaginative, colorful worlds that blend whimsy with emotional depth, capturing the surreal and the deeply human. His animated films have screened and received awards at festivals including Animafest Zagreb, ITFS Stuttgart, and the Annecy Festival.
