Between a house in the Atlantic Forest and a genetically-modified mosquito factory near São Paulo, a polyamorous, non-binary relationship struggles to survive an epidemic spreading across Brazil. While in the factory millions of mosquitos are born daily inside test tubes, the power dynamics between Helmut, Calixto, and Tao only intensifies.

Pedro Neves Marques, born in Lisbon, is a filmmaker, visual artist, and writer. He has exhibited at several international art institutions such as Tate Modern in London and Fundación Botín in Madrid. His films have screened at film festivals such as DocLisboa, IndieLisboa, and Queer Porto, in Portugal, TIFF in Toronto, and New York Film Festival. His project “Vampires in Space” was selected to represent Portugal at the Venice Biennale in 2022.
