On a fatidic Christmas Eve evening, Glória, Maya, Bia and Kakule meet in a bar at downtown São Paulo. Among solitudes, connections and disconnections, Maya is murdered. The characters are then taken by an acute sense of justice, jumping together into the abyss.

*Renato Coelho is a filmmaker and researcher, living and working in São Paulo. He directed several Super 8 short films such as O cinema Segundo Luiz Rô (2013), Trem (2015) and A Propósito de Willer (2016). A Cidade dos Abismos is his feature debut.   

 

**Priscyla Bettim directed several short films, such as Visão 2013 para Roberto Piva (2013), Livro de haikais (2014) and A propósito de Willer (2016). Through her work she expresses her interest in analogic and experimental cinema. A Cidade dos Abismos is her feature debut.
