Thanasis Tsimpinis is a Greek film director based in Brussels, with a background in Social Administration and Political Science. Their work explores queer identity and relational dynamics through a romantic, often dark and dreamlike lens, with features in The New Yorker, e Nowness. Their short film “Escaping the Fragile Planet” (2020), which reimagined the dystopian mood of its time, screened at over 50 festivals, including Clermont-Ferrand. In 2024, they graduated from LUCA School of Arts with “Simon at the Nightshop”. Thanasis is also active in LGBTQIA+ advocacy, directing projects that challenge inequality and celebrate queer resilience.
