A woman walks home alone at night. The film transforms what should be an ordinary moment into a tense, intimate portrait of the invisible rules, paranoia and instincts women carry with them in public spaces.

Cuban‑Austrian filmmaker Helen Esther Aschauer is based in Vienna. Her work is rooted in her Caribbean heritage, in women’s stories, and in a deep interest in socially critical themes. Helen joined BAFTA Connect in 2023 and is currently developing new projects that blend intimate storytelling with social awareness.
