Anaïs Kaboré’s work as a filmmaker often starts from a philosophical framework such as the Anthropocene, phenomenology, post-colonialism, etc, and, from there, she explores how these frameworks influence the content and narrative style of her films. By examining how films are perceived, the way she presents the story becomes an integral part of the narrative. Part of this exploration is working with non-actors and improvisation.
