We are heartbroken with the news of the passing of our dear friend and colleague Daniel Pinheiro. Words are meaningless in times like these. We are devastated, trying to make sense where there is none.

Daniel was the best and most generous being, and these words are not of circumstance, in a moment where words fail us. These are the possible words to describe someone who so deeply filled our souls. Daniel was unique in how he contributed to make our festival what it is today. And in what he contributed individually to make each one of us a better person. Where words lack, our love abounds.

Our deepest respects to his family, to Xavier, and to everyone who had the privilege to have their lives meet his. How fortunate we were to have him. Farewell dear Daniel
