The Sicilia Queer International New Visions Film Fest will be celebrating its 15th edition this year, from 25 to 31 May. It is one of the most important European queer film festivals, bringing together a significant and relevant number of personalities from the circuit every year.

This year, the artistic director of our Festivals, João Ferreira, will be present at the Sicilian event as a member of the Festival Circuit Jury, where he will be accompanied by the general delegate of the Brive Film Festival, Giulio Casadei, and the SiciliAmbiente Film Festival director, Sheila Melosu.

In addition, the Festival's Presenze Section is dedicated this year to directors Joaquim Pinto and Nuno Leonel. Several feature-length films by the Portuguese directorial duo will be shown, some of which have been restored by the Cinemateca Portuguesa, and João Ferreira will also be taking part in the presentation of two films by Joaquim Pinto: "Uma Pedra no Bolso" (1988) and "Onde Bate o Sol" (1989).
