Aline Belfort
Filmmaker, DOP
Short Film Competition
Born in Fortaleza, Brazil, in 1991. She works between cinematography, film directing, and photography. Her background in performance influences how she constructs images, not just as compositions, but as events guided by movement, intention, and emotion. She holds a degree in Cinematography from the Russian Film Institute (VGIK) in Moscow (2011–2016) and a master's degree in Cinematography from Kino Eyes Movie Master (2019–2021). In 2021, she completed the Advanced Program in Performing Arts Creation (PACAP) at Fórum Dança in Lisbon, deepening her research on the relationship between camera movement, dance, and performance.
Caio Amado Soares
Artist, Filmmaker
Short Film Competition
Artist and filmmaker, graduated from FBAUL Lisbon and UdK Berlin. Through his work, he develops a camp visual universe in which he imagines – and invites others to imagine, through collective creative workshops – a non-hierarchical world. He created the web series Club Splendida (2019), the short film Mishaps in Spacetime (2025), and is currently completing his new project 47 Years Are 17,166 Days – An Underwhelming Timelapse. He also works as a colourist, graphic designer, and visual effects artist, collaborating with Marit Östberg, Ian Kaler, Mónica Martins Nunes, Jumana Manna, Zara Zandieh, among others.
Diana Cipriano

Born in Lisbon in 1991. She has worked in film distribution and programming since 2012, in Lisbon and London. She managed the programme of LEFFEST – Lisboa Film Festival for nine years, having also worked as Head of Distribution at Leopardo Filmes. In 2017 she began working in the Programme & Screenings teams at BFI Festivals and more recently programmed for the BFI London Film Festival. Currently part of the programme team at BFI Southbank, she has been a programmer for BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival for three years.
Filipe Santa-Bárbara
Journalist
Documentary Competition
Born in Barreiro in 1989. He is a journalist at Público, having also worked in television and radio, where he spent much of his career. He was a finalist for the Gabo Award, one of the most prestigious prizes in Ibero-American journalism, for his investigative audio series Violeta, about the life of a trans and migrant woman, which exposed systemic failings in support and hosting in Portugal. Among the honours he has received for his work are the Gazeta Prize and the UNESCO National Commission’s Human Rights and Integration Prize. He focuses primarily on politics and human rights, with a particular interest in gender and LGBTQIA+ issues.
Kathleen Gomes
Programmer, Cultural Manager
Feature Film Competition
Programmer and cultural manager. She worked for almost two decades at the daily newspaper Público, notably as a cultural journalist, deputy editor of the Ípsilon supplement, and international correspondent in the United States and Brazil. She was part of the newspaper’s team of film critics between 2000 and 2005. She served as cultural adviser to the Prime Minister between 2017 and 2024. She is the author of the book “O Cerco de S. Bento em 1975: O Princípio do Fim da Revolução” (2025).
Leonardo Mouramateus

Queer Art Competition
Brazilian filmmaker, playwright and screenwriter. He works between Lisbon and Fortaleza, where he was born and made around ten collectively produced shorts, screened at festivals including Locarno, Rotterdam, Cinéma du Réel and Brasília. He holds a PhD in Performing Arts and Moving Image (University of Lisbon/Polytechnic University) and an MFA in Multimedia Art (FBAUL). His work has been the subject of retrospectives at the Cinémathèque Française and festivals in Colombia, Portugal and the Netherlands. He directed the features Antonio One Two Three (2017), Life Lasts Two Days (2022) and Greice (2024).

Lou Loução
Filmmaker, Multidisciplinary Artist
Short Film Competition
Filmmaker and multidisciplinary artist. Editor, programmer and distributor. Since 2018, they have developed short films and photographic essays exploring queer, racial, political and environmental issues. A queer and afro-descendant activist, they are the Marketing and Distribution Coordinator at Zero em Comportamento since 2025. They are also on the board of MUTIM and part of the programming team of MICAR – International Anti-Racist Film Festival, as well as several other film festivals and cinema programmes.
Luis Rosado

Born in Lisbon in 1993. After graduating with a degree in Art Studies from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon, he began his career in film festival production, particularly at MONSTRA, an experience that took him to Tokyo to work on a local festival. He was subsequently involved in the strategic programming of cinema venues, before moving into television. Since 2025, he has been part of the editorial planning team at RTP2, maintaining a close and ongoing connection with the world of cinema and documentaries.
Maria João Madeira

Works as a film programmer at Cinemateca Portuguesa in Lisbon, where she was born and lives. She is involved in organising film cycles and retrospectives, as well as writing and editing books and programme catalogues for her own projects at the Cinemateca. She has also published on film in other contexts. She translates regularly, mainly films, but also literary works and essays. She worked as a radio journalist and holds a degree in Media Studies.

Marta Mestre

Curator and researcher working in contemporary art, graduated in Art History and in Culture and Communication at Universidade Nova de Lisboa and the Université d'Avignon. Between 2010 and 2019 she lived in Brazil, where she held curatorial positions at Instituto Inhotim, Escola do Parque Lage, and the Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro, shaping a research practice attentive to contemporary art on a global scale. She is currently a curator at MAC/CCB, Lisbon, having previously served as artistic director of CIAJG, Guimarães (2020–24), with exhibitions at S.M.A.K., Ghent, and Sesc Pompéia, São Paulo, among other institutions.

Matthias Müller

Queer Art Competition
German filmmaker and artist, born in 1961 in Bielefeld. His films, including Home Stories, Aus der Ferne – The Memo Book, Sleepy Haven, and Pensão Globo, are among the more experimental contributions to Queer Cinema. Since the late 1980s, he has combined found footage, essay film, and autobiographical reflection to create multi-layered explorations of desire, memory, identity, and film history. His multi-award-winning works are screened at festivals such as Cannes, Venice, and Berlin, and exhibited in museums around the world. He teaches as a professor at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne.
Miguel Nunes

Actor, born in Lisbon in 1988, with a degree from the ESTC. He began his film career under the direction of Alberto Seixas Santos and Teresa Villaverde. In 2016, he starred in Letter from War, directed by Ivo M. Ferreira. He has worked with directors such as João Pedro Rodrigues, Inês Teixeira, Rita Nunes, João Botelho, Mónica Lima, Edgar Pêra and Margarida Gil. In 2018, he directed You See the Moon, his first short film. On television and streaming platforms, he starred in the Netflix series Glória (2021), for which he won the Best Actor in a Drama Series award at the Portuguese Golden Globes. He has appeared in the cast of various national and international series and has an extensive career in theatre.
