Talk with Philippe Besson

Part of the MaisFrança cultural program promoted by the Institut Français de Portugal, and in the context of the screening of Olivier Peyon’s Arrête avec tes mensonges, Queer Lisboa welcomes one of the utmost French contemporary authors, Philippe Besson. With over twenty published novels by éditions Julliard, including Son frère (adapted for the screen by Patrice Chéreau in 2003), L'arrière-saison (Grand Prix RTL-Lire), Le Dernier Enfant, and Paris-Briançon, Besson will talk to our audience about his body of work, and specifically about the novel Arrête avec tes mensonges (Maison de la Presse award), recently made into a film and part of this year’s program.

 

The author will be talking with Franck Finance-Madureira, journalist and President of the Cannes Film Festival’s Queer Palm.
