In a small town in the deep south of Brazil, there are five houses and five stories that merge as one. An old schoolteacher struggling to keep her home and her 36 cats, a young man being beaten up for being gay, a nun being transferred from the school she has ran with an iron fist for decades, an old foreman on a haunted farm, and a boy whose parents have died when he was still a child and who is today the director who returns to search for his childhood memories and rediscover these people.
