Yankunytjatjara man Derik Lynch's road trip back to Country for spiritual healing, as memories from his childhood return. A journey from the oppression of white city life in Adelaide, back home to his remote Anangu Community (Aputula) to perform on sacred Inma ground.

* Matthew Thorne is an Australian artist born in 1993 in Adelaide. His work combines film, photography, and re-enactment, often using constructed narrative alongside observational documentary to create works that explore the landscape, people, and stories of Australia.

 

** Derik Lynch is an initiated Yankunytjatjara man born in 1986. He spent his childhood living between many Australian communities. He studied with the Centre for Aboriginal Studies in Music at Adelaide University, and has performed around Australia and the world. He is currently working as an artist and aboriginal community worker.
