A group of French high-school students travels to Naples on a school trip to discover the ruins of Pompeii and the bodies petrified by Vesuvius. There, they are drawn into a dizzying descent. One by one, they are swept up in desire and anger until they surrender to them completely.

Marine Atlan is a cinematographer, screenwriter, and director. She was a cinematographer on "Jessica Forever" by Jonathan Vinel and Caroline Poggi, "Summer Scars" by Simon Rieth, "The Rapture" by Iris Kaltenbäck, "Queens of Drama" by Alexis Langlois, and "The Girl in the Snow" by Louis Hémon, which earned her a César nomination. After two award-winning medium-length films - which won awards at the Berlinale, Clermont-Ferrand, and Brive, among others - her debut feature, "La Gradiva", competed at La Semaine de la Critique (Cannes) in 2026.
