It’s summer in Geneva. Johanna works on the assembly line of a luxury watch factory, and she’s not going on vacation. As she considers getting rid of her old VW Beetle, she decides instead to bring it back to life and confront the world of mechanics that once rejected her.

Céline Carridroit is a French-Swiss filmmaker and sound artist. From 2015, she has been training in the field of sound recording and sound creation. She conducts radio workshops for people with disabilities and organises a festival around radio creation in Geneva. She is also a teacher for undergraduates in the field of visual arts and cinema. Her recent films have screened in dozens of festivals worldwide.

 

Aline Suter is a Swiss filmmaker and teacher, holding a Master’s degree in Literature, History of Cinema, Spanish, and the Raeto-Romance language. She has worked for many years in film festivals as a programmer and press attachée. After being involved as a pedagogical assistant in the cinema department of the HEAD – Geneva School of Arts, she organizes video workshops and is now also a teacher for undergraduates in the field of visual arts and cinema. Her recent films have screened in dozens of festivals worldwide.
