Restless middle-class adolescent Henri sneaks off to the men’s toilets of a Paris railway station and becomes obsessed with experienced Jean, a dangerous hustler. Co-written by Hervé Guibert and premiered at Cannes in 1983, "The Wounded Man" was one of France’s first major cinematic releases to depict homosexual desire and queer sexual cultures in an unapologetic way.
