Paula Tomás Marques is a Portuguese filmmaker from Porto. Having completed a postgraduate degree in Filmmaking at Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola (San Sebastián, Spain), she previously did a postgraduate degree in Sociology at ISCTE (Lisbon), and was originally trained in Directing and Cinematography at Lisbon’s ESTC.  In her films, she explores the difficulties her characters face when breaking or questioning expectations of gender and sexuality.
