For nearly a month and a half, the Rectory of NOVA University Lisbon presents ‘A Thick Cloud of Love’. The project encompasses some queer theses, antitheses, and syntheses in a selection of works by different artists in different formats (visual arts, installation, performance, film), highlighting each week the encounter between audience, art, and academia.
Curated by Pedro Faro, the initiative opened on 22 September and runs until 10 November, with different activities taking place every Monday at the Campolide Campus. Next Monday, 6 October, at 7 pm in the Rectory Auditorium, Queer Lisboa, in collaboration with the Cinemateca Portuguesa - Museu do Cinema, will present three films curated specifically for this screening.
The selected films are ‘A Cama’ by Sinde Filipe (1975), in a copy digitised by the Portuguese Film Archive - Museum of Cinema, as part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan, a measure integrated in the Next Generation EU programme; ‘Os Demónios da Liberdade’, by João Paulo Ferreira (1976); and ‘Fatucha Superstar - Ópera Rock... Bufa’, by João Paulo Ferreira (1976).
