Queer Porto 10: Jury & Guests

Introducing the seven elements that will be part of the two official juries of the 10th edition of Queer Porto:

 

The jury for the Official Competition includes researcher and producer Claire Sivier, artist Laetitia Morais, producer Paulo Silva and artist and performer Tiago Aires Lêdo.

 

For the Casa Comum Award, the jury will be made up by writer and teacher Conceição Nogueira, cultural producer Marco Gabriel and communication designer Paulo Pereira.

 

Also, Queer Porto 10 will be attended by a significant number of guests, including directors and other professionals from the cinema industry:

 

Highlights to filmmaker and actor Matthieu Morel, presenting three short films part of Nights at Passos program; filmmaker Justine Lemahieu with her film As Fado Bicha, this year's Special Screening; and Júlia Duarte, distributor of Onda Nova, our Opening Film.

 

In the Official Competition, we will welcome filmmaker Léolo for presenting Le Corps du délit.

 

In the Casa Comum Award strand, highlight for the presence of filmmaker Bernardo Gramaxo and actor Lorenzo Nóbrega, that will present Mercúrio, and for Rafael Ferreira, director of Carta ao Pai.

 

We will also welcome several guests who will participate in this year's talks that complements the Queer Focus and Authors in Dialogue strands: researcher and cultural activist Geanine Escobar participates in a conversation with programmer Hilda de Paulo about the notion of belonging; for a conversation about the work and thought of Isabelle Stengers, we invite researcher Manuela Teles and professor Samuel Guimarães; and, following the program Queer Resistance, we open an extended conversation with medical doctor and activist Lokas Cruz and sociologist and politician José Soeiro.
